Nope! Tampa Motorcycle Training provides training motorcycles for the Basic Rider Course!
Type of bikes we provide:
The Basic Rider Course is 15 hours total. Comprising of approximately five hours of class room time, and ten hours of riding.
ALL courses in the state of Florida will be 15 hours , the difference between schools is cost, schedule, and availability .
For Tampa Rider Training , we run a 2 day course:
Day 1: 8:30am – 4:00pm
Day 2: 730am – 3:00pm
We register a maximum of 8 riders per course with 1 coach . 8:1 ratio gives everyone a chance to learn , get assistance when needed, and keeps everyone’s attention focused.
You are required wear the following for the Basic Rider Course, these items are required by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation guidelines. Failure to bring wear the following will prevent you from taking the class!
After completing the Basic Rider Course(BRC) , we issue a course completion certificate on Day 2. Students take the certificate to a Tax Collector office(DMV) located in their home county. The DMV will lookup the course completion records and issue a new driver license with a ‘Class M’ for motorcycle endorsement. Please note, if you are a commercial driver, please make sure the DMV does NOT remove any of CDLs when issuing your new license.
We typically use 250cc starter motorcycles. They are great for learning in a controlled environment and help emphasize low-speed handling.

The State of Florida requires ALL riders to have a valid drivers license or permit. If your license is suspended or expired, we cannot enroll you into the class.
Nope! As part of the basic Rider Course you will take the multiple choice test administered by us after the classroom portion. After the range portion, you will take the riding test. Once you complete both, you can register at the DMV with NO additional testing.
Yes, Absolutely! During registration be sure to set your DL state, zip code correctly. Once the course is completed, take the DL to the DMV to register your endorsement in the state of Florida.

We always recommend doing this asap. The course completion cards are good for one year from date of issue to accommodate for potential delays. If you fail to register the motorcycle endorsement within a year, the DMV will not recognize your course completion record and will require you to take the BRC again.
In the state of Florida – if you have a two wheel motorcycle endorsement you can ride both 2-wheel motorcycles and 3-wheel trikes.
however, if you only have a three wheel endorsement, you can only ride 3-wheel trikes.
The course we provide is for 2-wheel motorcycle endorsement. If your intention is to ride a Trike, please give us a call so we can help you determine if the course is right for you.

Tampa Motorcycle Training runs three times a week:
The weekday courses cost $189.00, The weekend course is $199.00
Our refund and cancellation policies:
If you cancel with at least 72 hour notice before the class, you will receive a full refund.
Any cancellations within 72 hours of the class will not receive a refund.
We will try to re-book you in the next available course at an additional $100.00 charge.
Due to the limited space available in each class, we do NOT issue refunds. We will work with you to reschedule your course, please note there is a $100.00 charge.
